An exceptional and highly collectible model 29a “triennale” sideboard, designed by renowned danish designer arne vodder and manufactured by sibast møbler in denmark.
crafted in beautifully figured teak, the model 29a is one of vodder’s most iconic and sought-after cabinet designs. Its long, architectural form is defined by a refined asymmetrical composition and the distinctive sculptural drawer fronts that have become synonymous with vodder's work.
this rare example retains its original reversible sliding doors, finished in white and yellow on one side and teak on the reverse. The central drawers also feature the characteristic white and yellow details, creating a striking yet sophisticated contrast with the warm teak cabinet.
particularly noteworthy is the rare base configuration with polished aluminium and teak feet. This elegant combination gives the substantial sideboard a remarkably light, almost floating appearance and is seldom encountered on surviving examples of the model 29a.
the preservation of the original white and yellow finishes is an important feature of this piece. Unlike many examples that have been repainted or refinished over the decades, the original coloured surfaces have been retained, preserving the authentic character and visual identity of vodder's design.
the sideboard shows slight traces of use, mostly on the top of the sideboard. Please study our video and pictures closely for its original vintage condition.
a museum-quality statement piece and an outstanding example of post-war danish modernism, combining exceptional craftsmanship, innovative functionality and arne vodder's unmistakable sculptural design language. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
