An exceptional pair of Italian night tables by Colombo Mobili, Model No. 326, inspired by the refined Empire and Lombardy Regency designs of circa 1820.
Crafted in richly figured plume walnut, each nightstand is distinguished by elaborate 18-karat gold-plated bronze mountings, including classical laurel wreath motifs, foliate ornament, ring pulls, rosettes, architectural corner details, and a striking Greek-key border along the lower apron. Turned and carved front legs complete the sophisticated Neoclassical profile.
The pair is topped with elegant pink marble, an upgraded marble option that was originally priced above the standard Calacatta marble configuration. According to original Colombo documentation, the Calacatta version retailed for approximately $4,700 per nightstand, while the pink marble configuration retailed for approximately $4,995 each—nearly $10,000 for the pair when new.
Each nightstand provides three drawers while maintaining a relatively compact footprint, making the pair equally suitable beside a bed or as sophisticated end tables in a living room or sitting area.
