The exterior is left plain — smooth, luminous white that lets the ormolu do the talking — while the interior holds the surprise: three hand-painted ladybugs, scattered as though they'd just landed. Marked "Tiffany & C° France" in gilt on the underside. Exact age is unknown, though clues point to the 1960's to 1970's.

Tiffany & Co. has dealt in fine porcelain nearly as long as in jewelry, importing European ceramics from its founding in 1837 and later commissioning French makers to produce under its own name.
