Revell & Co. mirror is an authentic antique American piece, dating from the late 1890s to the 1910s.The maker's stamp confirms its origin from one of the most prestigious high-end furniture retail and manufacturing firms in the Midwest during the Gilded Age. Founded in Chicago in 1876, the company operated a massive showroom on Wabash Avenue and was famous for outfitting upscale residences, social clubs, and historic luxury landmarks. This piece displays a classic Edwardian or French Provincial Revival style. It features a beautifully contoured, fluid wood frame topped with a carved acanthus leaf and scroll motif. Mirrors of this shape from Revell & Co. would be perfect as a pretty accent on any wall, above a dresser in an entryway, or in a bedroom. The two symmetric, tightly wound spirals at the core form a traditional double-scroll motif. Flanking and rising above the scrolls are stylized, feathered leaf details reminiscent of
