An exceptional, finely crafted American Art Nouveau serving dish or tray, masterfully sculpted from a single piece of solid mahogany by the esteemed E. Kopriwa Company of Chicago, Illinois. Dating to the early 20th century (circa 1910–1920), this remarkable decorative piece captures a naturalistic Black Forest influence with its beautifully veined, organic grape leaf form and meticulously detailed, high-relief cluster of grapes forming the top handle.
The tray boasts a rich, dark original burnished finish that beautifully accentuates the deep coloration and complex grain pattern characteristic of premium antique mahogany wood. Adding tremendous value to this specific example is the intact, original green and gold octagonal maker's paper label on the reverse side, explicitly reading: "Carved From Solid Mahogany, E. Kopriwa Co., Chicago, Ill."
Whether styled flat as a statement centerpiece on a dining table, utilized as a sophisticated vanity tray, or propped vertically on a sideboard to highlight its sculptural contours, this authentic piece of American design history serves as an elegant nod to early 20th-century artisanal woodcraft .

A clean historical break, right along the grain, at the corner of one leaf has been professionally repaired and stabilized. The repair is executed almost seamlessly and blends beautifully into the natural contours of the carving, (I’ve highlighted the area of the repair, on both sides) , remaining virtually unnoticeable unless under close inspection. Wood retains a striking original dark patina, and the structural integrity is completely sound. Original underside paper manufacturer label is intact and fully legible. Please Note: The item is Vintage & has been used, it shows signs of wear consistent with its age. Before you place a bid/buy please carefully review the Photos as they are a part of the description. Attempts to document the item full condition have been made with reasonable effort & in good faith. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to see additional pictures.
