Antique English burr walnut tea caddy, c.1850
It features a domed lid with decorative brass mounts, crafted from highly figured burr walnut. Used to store expensive tea, so always had a lock. This caddy has its original working lock and key. Two interior lidded compartments, one for black tea, the other for green tea. Good antique condition with minor age and use wear. Recently waxed and polished.
