Antique Italian giltwood photo or picture frame, c.1870 in the Rococo style.
Hand carved solid wood frame, with an acanthus leaf crest at the top with carved scrollwork sides featuring flowers and leaves. It has an unusual shaped opening with an image size of 6.5” wide by 6.25” tall. It has a great antique patina with surface age and use wear.
