Rattan Serving Cart, Napoleon III Period
This is a woven rattan serving cart with a natural bamboo frame. It features two basket-shaped trays (an upper tray with a heart-shaped arched handle, and a lower tray) connected by four tapered legs ending in curved "deer" feet. The weaving displays a sky-blue and white striped pattern, characteristic of early 20th-century French fine basketry (1900-1930, often described as "late Napoleon III" to "Art Deco" depending on the level of detail).
