This is a fabulous vintage regency revival flame mahogany jupe circular extending dining table, made by the master cabinet maker … Read more This is a fabulous vintage regency revival flame mahogany jupe circular extending dining table, made by the master cabinet maker william tillman, with a set of ten swag back dining chairs, dating from the 1980s. The dining table is made of flame mahogany with five additional leaves on a quadruple splayed leg base, complete with a storage box for the leaves. The table extends from 157cm diameter to 229cm diameter. The circular top has superb satin wood banded decoration and can seat ten people in comfort. It was purchased at great expense direct from the master cabinet maker william tillman, crouch lane, borough green, kent in the 1980s. The superb set of ten swag back dining chairs was masterfully crafted in beautiful solid mahogany throughout, and the finish and attention to detail on display are truly breathtaking. Comprising ten side chairs, all featuring an attractive swag back design with 'drop-in' seats that have been reupholstered in the finest claret damask. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome set, which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection and a talking point with guests at meal times. The botanical name for the mahogany that this item is made of is swietenia macrophylla and this type of mahogany is not subject to cites regulation and does not contain any restricted materials. Condition: in excellent condition, having been beautifully cleaned, polished, waxed and the chairs reupholstered in our workshops; please see photos for confirmation.
