Superb piece of early 20thC art glass that we attribute to Tiffany, based on a vase with matching decor.
Intriguing blown glass vase featuring a blend of straw/amber colored striations, floating and mixed among a nearly clear wall having thick, paperweight construction and numerous scattered air bubbles within the wall. This piece is hefty, with a narrow neck and a broad stable base. A fabulous accent in a vintage or modern decor.
The comparable vase was sold by James Julia (2017) and re-sold by Morphy's (2020). It was described as 'reactive glass' as well as 'paperweight' between the two offerings. In addition to the straw/amber decor, it also has the air bubbles within the wall.
Measures 6.25"x 6.25"x 6.25". In excellent condition with age-appropriate foot wear. No chips or cracks. Has an engraved numeric mark to the polished pontil: "o4593".
