Carved detail … Read more Exceptional detail and craftsmanship to this pair of Aesthetic Movement night stands. Hand-Carved stylized flora and fauna detail. Carved detail on all 3 exposed sides. Crafted in solid walnut. Very nice glow and patina to finish. Featuring 4 drawers to each cabinet with a sandstone top surface. Aesthetic period furniture is a late-19th-century design style (roughly 1860–1890) that championed "art for art's sake". Sandstone tops are not original to these pieces, but do give a modern, organic detail and nice color contrast to the nightstands. Carved bases are in exceptional condition, sandstone tops have imperfections and one has a split that is approximately 7 inches long. Sandstone tops can be rotated, changing top surface dimensions. They are pictured with top in both directions.
