The antique base from India, is substantial and has a nicely turned form, displaying a gently tapered silhouette with a pronounced central band and well-balanced proportions. It rests upon a circular plinth base with grey color. The fragment has a rich, dark brown patina, visible tool marks, age cracks, and areas of weathered finish which highlight the fragment's architectural origins and attest to its history. This British Colonial fragment lamp has been rewired for the US. See less
