The sculpture is signed and marked in two places, notating "Huia Tin," a carved artist signature, the date (95), and the title of the work. The sculpture is in excellent condition, with a rich dark brown and golden bronze patina, which accentuates the curves and folds of the entire piece.

This bronze depicts a seated woman wearing traditional Korean attire (hanbok) seated with her legs folded beneath her traditional long, flowing skirt, which is draped naturalistically across the base. She cradles a baby, her posture is gentle, with her head inclined forward, looking down at the baby in her arms. The baby she holds is swaddled or wrapped in fabric, with only its head visible near the mother's left arm.
