Originally introduced in 1950 by the influential Danish-American designer Jens Risom, this piece demonstrates his early mid-century modern experiments combining woodwork with metals. The sculptural, C-shaped powder-coated steel base positions the legs to create an open frame, allowing the round top to appear as though it is floating in mid-air. Its minimalist, open-base footprint is engineered specifically for tight layouts, sliding cleanly around seating corners. It is also designed to be completely stackable up to three units high.
