English satinwood glove box from the Victorian period circa 1870. Its lid and sides trimmed with fine ebony line inlay and topped with the traditional wrought iron ring pull. The working lock retains its iron escutcheon (key not included). The interior is lined in its original pink paper, gently toned with age. A lovely, honestly-worn example of a classic English dressing-table form — equally at home holding jewelry, letters, or small treasures today.
