The detailed silhouettes of bamboo stalks and leaves are wrapped around a rounded, ovoid body. The aesthetic blends organic Art Nouveau and stark Art Deco sensibilities with a clean, high-contrast palette.

The vase has a good weight. The base shows concentric rings in the black glass and a polished foot. It has no hallmarks or labels.

MEASUREMENTS
8 in (20.3 cm) diameter x 6 ½ in (16.5 cm) tall. Weighs 2 lbs. 15.5 oz.

CONDITION
There are no cracks, or repairs. There are two spot on the mouth rim where there is a gap in the black glass but under magnification you can see that the glass was cut during manufacture and not broken. I believe this is from when it was manufactured, but it could be a chip. There is some slight wear that shows age. There is also small drop of black glass inside at the very bottom.

Measuring an impressive 8 inches in diameter, its generous proportions and high-contrast palette make it an ideal centerpiece for a Hollywood Regency mantle, an eclectic modern console, or a chic Chinoiserie-inspired vignette. See less
