An exceptional and highly collectible Tiffany Studios New York bronze cigar and cigarette box, pattern number 1680, executed in the iconic Venetian pattern. Richly decorated with intricate scrolling ornament, geometric borders, and Gothic-inspired motifs, this early twentieth-century example retains beautifully crisp casting and an exceptionally well-preserved original patinated bronze finish.

The interior is fitted with its original aromatic cedar liner, a hallmark of Tiffany's premium tobacco boxes, designed to help preserve cigars and cigarettes. The underside is correctly stamped TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 1680, and a remnant of the original Tiffany paper label remains adhered to the inside of the lid, an increasingly scarce feature that adds to the box's originality and desirability.

This example stands out for its remarkable state of preservation. The bronze surface retains deep, untouched patina while the openwork base remains sharply defined with excellent contrast in the recessed decoration. The cedar interior is exceptionally clean, making this one of the finer surviving examples of Model 1680 suitable for the most discerning Tiffany Studios collector.

Condition: Excellent estate condition. A few spots of oxidation. Very light gilt wear to the high points of the raised design on top and corners. Examined under magnification.

Condition: An outstanding collector-quality example. The original bronze finish is exceptionally well preserved. Casting detail remains crisp throughout, including the delicate openwork base. Hinges operate smoothly, the lid closes properly, and the original cedar lining is exceptionally clean. A partial original Tiffany Studios paper label remains on the inside of the lid.
