Antique No. 329 “Gone with the Wind” hurricane banquet lamp featuring an ornate cherub figural base with beautifully hand-painted glass … Read more Antique No. 329 “Gone with the Wind” hurricane banquet lamp featuring an ornate cherub figural base with beautifully hand-painted glass shade and font. Believed to date from approximately 1880-1890. The lamp stands approximately 29 inches tall and has been professionally electrified through the original center stem, preserving the exterior castings without intrusive side drilling. It has also been rewired with modern wiring for safe operation. The hand-painted glass is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The base retains its FG CO and 329 casting marks. We believe the lamp was from Larkin Soap Company's catalog where you can exchange stamps for household items. They used Fostoria's manufacturer for the base, all part are original to the 1880's. A striking Victorian statement piece for collectors, decorators, or period interiors. Sold as-is. See less
