Bring classical English elegance to your dining tablescapes with this spectacular 2-piece antique fish serving set. Sourced from the historic cutlery capital of the world, this set was expertly crafted in Sheffield, England, by Robinson M. Johnson & Company (RMJ & Co) between 1876 and 1881. This late Victorian service includes a monumental broad-bladed fish knife (or slice) and a beautifully coordinating five-tine serving fork.
The silver-plated surfaces feature exquisite, hand-engraved flourishes of classical Victorian scrollwork, trailing ivy, and stylized floral motifs that catch the light elegantly. The working ends transition into highly ornate, relief-molded silver-plated collars (ferrules) with geometric accents. The handles are carved in a classic smooth, tapered silhouette from antique faux-ivory celluloid (ivorine), providing a warm, creamy contrast to the dark aged metalwork. An exceptional addition to a holiday buffet, a curated charcuterie spread, or an antique hollowware collection.
