A beautiful decorative pair of hand-colored maritime engravings after the celebrated Flemish artist F.H. Bruegel, featuring the companion scenes La Flotte ("The Fleet") and A L'ancre ("At Anchor"). Rich with period sailing vessels, rolling seas, and finely detailed rigging, these classic nautical images evoke the romance of European seafaring during the Age of Sail.
These are quality 20th-century restrikes after Bruegel's original compositions, faithfully reproducing the intricate line work and hand-colored appearance of the historic engravings.
Professionally matted and ready for framing, they make an impressive statement whether displayed together or individually. Individual Size: 16 x 20" (each), Display as a Set: Approximately 33 x 20"
