A louis xvi style bed set comprising a headboard, a matching footboard, and two side rails, in off-white/grey lacquered wood.
the headboard and footboard panels are upholstered in hand-woven natural rattan cane with a tight hexagonal pattern. The frame displays typical louis xvi features: fluted tapered legs, carved rosettes at the corners of the uprights, cavetto moldings framing the panels, and a low-arched top with inset corners. Early 20th-century work in the louis xvi style.
the painted finish shows patinated wear consistent with the piece's age; cleaning is recommended. An inventory number (s10468) is written in chalk on the reverse, indicating previous sale at auction or in consignment. Overall condition: visible wear, no restoration work reported by the seller.
