This gorgeous Covered Butter Dish is silver plated. This stunning tiered piece features a dome with gorgeous floral and geometric engravings to the metal, a rounded mace style knob atop the lid, and a star patterned divider / drainer which can be used to separate the top and bottom, or the divider can be removed completely making this a wonderfully versatile serving dish. The bottom of the piece is stamped "Meriden Britannia | 4900", see pictures. Due to the material and stamps, we believe this piece was made in the Victorian era.
The measurements: height with lid=5.5" width including handles=7" depth=6" approx.
