The heavy, monumental base is modeled after an ancient Chinese archaistic Hu vessel urn, featuring exquisite relief detailing, stylized handles with rings, and a Taotie mask motif.

The brass body is mounted on a carved black wooden base, giving it a striking and dramatic silhouette perfect for Hollywood Regency, Asian Modern, or eclectic interiors.

This piece includes its original vintage lamp harp and pagoda-style silk shade featuring a subtle, woven bamboo leaf jacquard pattern. The lamp features a premium 3-way lighting mechanism with a smooth key switch. Notably, the finial post has been intentionally kept tall so that the newly added, solid brass crane finial sits high and is fully displayed in its entirety above the shade, rather than being hidden behind the frame.

Excellent vintage condition of Base & Metalwork: The heavy cast brass body retains a beautiful vintage patina with minimal wear consistent with age and use. Fully functional wiring with 3-way lighting and a responsive key switch. The original metal harp shows appropriate vintage patina and is structurally sound.

Shade: The exterior of the original fabric shade is in excellent cosmetic condition with crisp seams and clear patterning. The interior silk lining has tears near the upper rim frame and a long side tear. (see photos). However, because these are isolated to the inner lining and can be rotated toward the back wall, they are completely invisible when displayed.
