Castelli is a ‘ceramiche’ in Italy that is famous for hand-painted tiles with their tin-glazed majolica finish. This tile depicts a woman carrying for a man at his bedside. The word at the bottom translates to Infirmity in English. It’s a female nurse caring for a man in the hospital. On the back, the tile lists the surname of tge artist - Simonelli, and says it’s hand-painted. The tile would make a perfect gift for a nurse or doctor
