It is in the Regency Revival style, and it's made in the rarer rectangular shape. It has five drawers with original hardware, as well as original brass sabots on the feet. The desk is sturdy and in overall very good condition. The leather top is crackled and has a small mark, which doesn't affect function and can probably be fixed with some leather polish. Or leave it as is and enjoy the patina that comes with age and loving use. The gold tooling around the edge of the leather is not worn. This desk was owned by only one person in its 60 year life; she maintained a smoke and pet free household, and used the desk almost daily. This desk is a wonderful investment piece that will last another lifetime. See less
