A 1925-1935 French art deco pendant light in nickel plated bronze or solid brass holding a stunning star shaped bowl in clear frosted molded-pressed glass by the glass manufactory Verreries des Hanots. It's a model that's never signed yet represented in the old Hanots catalogs. It was made in three different sizes. 30 45 and 55 cm. The one on this chandelier is the medium sized 45 cm one.
Holophane was a large company producing industrial glasses in high volumes, During the interbellum until around 1938 they made high quality lamp shades under the name of Verreries des Hanots and vases and sculptures with their brand name Verlys. Most shades of Hanots are unsigned and therefor unknown to a larger public but together with Muller freres Jean Gauthier (EJG) Degué and Schneider Hanots was one of the five large glass factories making high quality lamp shades in molded-pressed glass.

The chandelier is 76 cm high (29,9") and has a diameter of 44,5 cm (17,52 inches). It is in good condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the mounting and it is rewired holding six American candelabra base sockets. The bowl has some small chips on the inside and on top of the rim. They hardly show with the chandelier in place. And like almost all thick pressed Hanots shades from the 20s the glass shows some internal hairlines due to the production process.
