This uncommon piece is often found in clear lucite, as well as frosted variations, however, this particular one has 5 layers of colors ranging from teal blue on one side to mint green on the other. The animals had circular cut out eyes carved out directly from the lucite resin, some say to be able to display them hanging. The original collection included monkeys, giraffes, camels, hippopotami, horses, snakes, squirrels, elephants, lions, and wolves. They are similar in style to the animals created by Abraham Palatnik.
