Designed by Ferdinand Levillain (1837–1905)
An exceptional French neoclassical bronze centrepiece dating from the 19th century, designed by the renowned sculptor and decorative artist Ferdinand Levillain (1837–1905). The piece was cast by the celebrated Parisian foundry of Ferdinand Barbedienne, one of the most prestigious bronze manufacturers of the period.
Despite its age, the design displays remarkably modern lines and a refined elegance, allowing it to integrate beautifully into both classical and Art Deco-inspired interiors.
The bronze retains a beautiful original patina, enhancing its sculptural quality and decorative appeal.
Signed: F. Levillain; with F. Barbedienne foundry mark on the rim.
