A pair of stylish early 1900's (1905-1920) armchairs in a regency style. Possibly late 19th century. Carved wooden frames with details give a lightweight appearance. Pierced gallery Chairs have original springs and are stuffed with straw and horsehair. Recently reupholstered in a polyester velvet fabric with blue gimp trim. Almost have a Biedermeier style to them. Frames are very sturdy and solid hardwood construction. Elegant flowing saber rear legs.
The chairs are from a clean non-smoking home and would be perfect in a NYC apartment. The bold royal blue color is great for an elegant but modern style space. Great for accent pillows.

New upholstery. The frames have some light scratches and marks with age and wear. The upholstery wasn't done perfectly has some slight puckering at corners. And exposed glue in some areas where the trim was attached. Harder to see unless up close. Small area on left side of chair shows fabric hem above gimp. Upholstery is very stable for years to come or a candidate to update with a fabric of your choosing. less
