Tall studio pottery lidded jar by Robert Hasselle for Clifton Earthworks Pottery, Cincinnati. A graduate of Rhodes College and Tulane University, Hasselle worked as a teacher at Cincinnati Art Academy and operated Clifton Earthworks Pottery. Hasselle later established Hasselle Pottery in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Hasselle's work is held in the permanent of the Canton Museum of Art. This stoneware piece is indicative of his work from the 1970s.
