A compelling mid-century painting that presents a tightly composed arrangement of house facades that has been reduced to a sequence of interlocking geometric forms, executed in oil onto board and dated 1952.

Angular rooftops, window blocks, and simplified architectural planes sit side by side, creating a dense, almost puzzle-like composition. A darker vertical element – suggestive of a tower or chimney – rises subtly in the background, adding contrast and anchoring the structure without disrupting its abstraction.

Executed in a modernist style with clear cubist influences, the work prioritises shape and structure over traditional perspective.
