A stunning pair of matching solid brass candlesticks, possibly antique French brass, maybe dating from the 19th or early 20th century.
A unique feature of this pair is the adjustable push-up mechanism on the shaft of each candlestick, allowing you to adjust and secure the height of your candle as it burns. Although there doesn't look like a problem, I have been unable to adjust the height. Possibly just not moving because of a build up of the candle wax.
The round curved base is designed to catch dripping wax.
About 7½" tall, wear consistent with age, wax residue in candle cups.
