A glass diorama known as "Paradise," 18th century.
A rich and complex composition of seashells, coral, porcelain, and various other materials.
Forming a two-tiered grotto, the lower level depicts the infant Jesus seated before a mirror, blessing with a wave of his hand.
Above, a relic framed in paper filigree is encircled by two columns surmounted by angels;
in the center, a bird gazes down at the infant Jesus.
Italian Neapolitan work, 18th century.
Dimensions: 46 x 30 x 14 cm.
