Incredible carved … Read more This is a stunning pair of 19th Century antique Louis XVI gilt side chairs has its all-original finish. Incredible carved detail throughout the front an sides.. Reupholstered in the early 2000s in 100% silk gold-toned fabric with green, cream, pink and brown embroidered flowers, leaves and vines. Double piping all around. Fluted tapered legs, carved rosettes on top...the carving is exquisite. Original painted finish with no alterations lends to the authenticity of the pair. Solid to sit on (no wobbles). Perfect for an entry, bedroom or living room. Can easily be reupholstered. One chair has a tiny discrete blemish on the upholstered seat (shown) and a stain on the upholstered chair back near the top (shown). The other chair's upholstery is blemish-free. See less
