This refined French commode dates to approximately 1860–1880 and reflects the balanced proportions and elegant decoration of the Louis XVI style. Artisan-made from richly toned mahogany, it features hand-cut fruitwood marquetry, gilt-bronze mounts and a substantial green Italian marble top with attractive natural veining.
The façade contains four functional drawers: two smaller upper drawers and two larger drawers below. Original-style bronze handles and decorative appliqués complement the warm mahogany and emphasize the commode’s neoclassical character.
