designer roberto rigon, born in schiavon (vicenza) in 1929, was one of the most versatile masters of ceramics in the vicenza area. Largely self-taught and possessing a natural talent for drawing, he began collaborating in the 1950s as a designer for renowned manufacturers in the area between nove and bassano del grappa, before founding his own artisan workshop. His extensive body of work, celebrated in various exhibitions—including a major retrospective at the castello degli ezzelini in 2017—successfully combined exceptional craftsmanship with continuous experimentation in sculpture and painting, distinguished by its geometric lines, refined forms, and innovative exploration of glazes.
