Designer roberto rigon, born in schiavon (vicenza) in 1929, was one of the most versatile ceramic masters in the vicenza area. Primarily self-taught with a natural aptitude for drawing, starting in the 1950s he collaborated as a designer for renowned manufacturers in the area between nove and bassano del grappa, before founding his own artisan workshop. His extensive production, celebrated in various exhibitions including a major retrospective at castello degli ezzelini in 2017, has combined excellent craftsmanship with ongoing sculptural and pictorial experimentation, distinguishing him for his geometric lines, refined volumes, and innovative research into glazes.
