The combination of a high-rising backrest, a deep seat, and the sculpturally curved wooden frame gives the chair its characteristic relaxed posture. The generously padded seat and backrest are upholstered in supple moss-green leather. The button tufting with covered buttons distributes the soft volumes and emphasizes the armchair's broad proportions. The fully upholstered armrests are also generously padded and carefully finished with quilted details. The load-bearing frame is constructed from curved plywood with a warm oak finish. The front legs run directly from the seat to the floor, while the curved sections at the rear follow the high back and taper into a broad, stable base. The dark wood forms a subtle contrast with the greyish-green of the leather. The construction remains largely visible at the rear. A sturdy canvas backrest supports the upholstery and is attached to the wooden frame with lacing. Leather loops and wooden rods hold the upper part of the backrest in place. These functional details have been carefully incorporated into the design and underscore the solid Scandinavian construction. The armchair has been meticulously restored in the Bij de Tijd workshop. The leather has been professionally cleaned and nourished multiple times with a high-quality conditioning wax. As a result, it feels supple again and the moss green color has regained its quiet depth. The wooden frame has been cleaned and treated, making the warm tone and grain clearly visible once more. The armchair is in very neat vintage condition. The leather shows slight creasing and a natural patina consistent with the age and use of the furniture.
