The wooden frame follows … Read more Mid-century armchair from the 1970s, constructed from carefully curved plywood and upholstered in supple black leather. The wooden frame follows the seat, backrest, and base in one fluid movement, creating an open construction with a low and balanced silhouette. The seat and backrest form a visual whole and feature deep button tufting. Four upholstered buttons in the back and four in the seat add texture to the leather and enhance the armchair's generous character. The black leather contrasts subtly with the warm color of the wood. The frame is crafted from multiple glued layers of wood and finished with wood veneer. The curved sections have a slight springiness, allowing the armchair to move comfortably while seated. The original anthracite-colored fixings blend seamlessly with the design and remain largely out of sight. We have carefully cleaned the leather and treated it with a high-quality leather wax for seating furniture. The woodwork has also been thoroughly cleaned and re-treated. As a result, the natural color and layered structure of the plywood are clearly visible. The armchair is in very neat vintage condition and is ready for immediate use. There are no markings present; therefore, we do not attribute the design to a specific manufacturer or designer. We have five identical copies in stock.
