A desk
* Presumably from Germany. No manufacturer's mark.
* A beautiful example of classic mid-century design from the 1950s.
* Angled legs that taper elegantly, distinctively shaped side panels, curved recessed handles across the entire width of the drawers, and an unusual bookcase.
* The bookcase allows the desk to be placed freely in the room.
* Also typical of the period is the treatment of the veneer with a red-tinted varnish to evoke the look of fine tropical woods.
* Walnut veneer on the outside and teak on the inside of the drawers.
* Please note that people were generally shorter in the 1950s, and the underside of the desk is quite low.

Condition
* Very good, vintage condition overall. Only minor veneer damage on the front and the drawer edges. See photos. Otherwise, only normal signs of age and use. Freshly polished.
