American Golden Oak / Renaissance Revival style split-pedestal dining table, dating roughly from the late 1890s to the 1910s. During the American Golden Oak era, historical European design with sturdy hardwoods. Renaissance Revival.
The heavy, scrollwork on the central column panel The base is a pedestal design, often described as a "masonic" or "gothic revival" style
The repetitive egg-and-dart style reliefs along the apron pull directly from classical European motifs. Split-Pedestal Column: The central pillar splits completely down the center when pulled apart. This hides internal extension slides and an extra support leg to accommodate extra table leaves that I do not have. Splayed Platform Base The pedestal terminates into a massive, four-point platform base ending in blocky, stepped feet rather than the more common lion's claw feet. Beautiful Table that will make diffently make a statement.
Heavy 3/4" thick beveled glass on table.
I have 4 large chairs listed separately that would match nicely.
