The elongated adjustable arm terminates in a slim rectangular metal shade designed to cast focused light across a piano, writing desk, library table, or work surface. A weighted counterbalance handle allows the shade position and projection to be adjusted. The column rises from a substantial square wood and brass-tone base with an on/off control at the front. Includes the photographed power cord and adapter. Measures approximately 23.75 inches high as positioned, with a maximum depth or projection of approximately 32 inches. The rectangular shade measures approximately 10 inches long, and the base measures approximately 5 × 5 inches. Vintage condition with scattered surface scratches, tarnish, finish variation, and light wear consistent with age and use. The lamp has a strong traditional library or executive-office appearance while retaining the clean lines of a classic task lamp. See less
