A limited edition mezzotint by the Japanese artist Kazuhisa Honda (born 1948). This abstract work depicts a verdant landscape with a red sun hanging above blue clouds in the distance. Signed and numbered 6/95 to the lower edge, the print is displayed in a black frame and a white mat.
Born in Japan, Honda studied at the University of Osaka and in 1974, moved to Paris where he studied printmaking under Stanley Hayter at Atelier 17. Later he studied at the Pratt Graphics Center in New York as well as apprenticing under Yozo Hamuguchi.
