This is the highly sought-after indoor rattan version, handcrafted from sustainable natural rattan in Indonesia by Sika Design of Denmark. The Monet was designed in 2005 by Sika's 3rd generation designer Louise Andreasen, inspired by archival drawings from the 1960s by founder Ankjær Andreasen. Named after the French painter, its scenic, rolling arcs create that perfect mid-century meets organic modern look.

Story & Condition:
Purchased new in 2018 and gently used in a smoke-free, carpeted sitting room. This chair has lived as an accent piece, rarely used, and not for daily seating, so the rattan is tight, with no breaks, no loose bindings, and no stains. The signature herringbone weave on the arms and X-lashing details are all intact. Brass Sika Design maker’s plaque present on frame. You will see some very light variation in the Antique finish which is original to the hand-finished rattan - no damage to disclose.
