The vessel features a rich olive green glaze around the shoulder that fades into a natural clay body with warm ochre and terracotta undertones. Its surface bears the beautiful irregularities of age—areas of glaze loss, oxidation, and mineral bloom that create a richly aged patina.

Near the base, a series of iron staple repairs testify to its long life and traditional craftsmanship. This type of mending is often associated with French Indochine or Spanish utilitarian pottery, where vessels were valued enough to be repaired rather than discarded.
