This beautifully aged child’s rocking chair embodies the timeless craftsmanship of American furniture from the turn of the 20th century. Constructed of solid hardwood with elegantly scrolled arms and a gently curved ladder-back, it retains its warm, original finish and inviting patina.
The woven cane seat complements the chair’s classic silhouette and appears to have been professionally replaced during its lifetime. Visible repairs and age-related wear, including stabilized cracks at the arm joints, reflect decades of careful use while preserving the chair’s structural integrity and historic charm.
Whether displayed in a child’s room, farmhouse, cottage, or used as a decorative accent in a sophisticated interior, this antique rocker makes a wonderful conversation piece and collectible.
