They are made with golden oak frames which are chunky and oversized, the timber patina is glorious, truly stunning, the upholstery is a deep brown or oxblood colour, it's hard to tell, it looks to be a mixture of leather and Rexine These by repute came from a Freemasons lodge and were seated by people of some importance, they are not the run of the mill sit around a table and chat chairs, theses are like boardroom chairs for the king! They are very large and beautifully crafted, the timber alone to make these today would cost thousands The upholstery is the original, it's very distressed in places but it still exists which is why I have left it, these are a very easy and economic reupholstery project as the seat pads simply pop off, the arms unscrew and the back panels unscrew at the back and drop out, if they don't sell as they are I will most likely have them done when I have time as there is only a couple of hundred pound of labour here and the finished result will be epic chairs! Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
