About The Poster: This poster, illustrating Montreal's Olympics Stadium, was commissioned by the COJO (Olympic games organizing committee) and is part of a great series of posters produced for the event in 1976. The 1976 summer games were the first Olympic games held in Canada. For this occasion, the city invested significant amounts in modernizing its infrastructure as well as in the construction of the stadium itself. The stadium has become somewhat of an icon of Montreal, despite ongoing problems with the structure.
