About these posters: Barbara Swiderska is a graphic artist best known for her illustrations and poster designs of the 1960s and 1970s. Although relatively little is known about her career, she contributed to London's celebrated tradition of transport posters with her 1967 commission for London Transport promoting the Victoria and Albert Museum. The poster depicts an elegantly dressed Elizabethan figure, promoting the museum's renowned collection of historical fashion.
