This sculptural piece features a rich emerald green drip glaze cascading over a dark chocolate brown stoneware body, creating a striking contrast that highlights the vessel's hand-thrown form and textured ribbed surface. The rounded silhouette is accented by two sculptural lug handles and a subtly irregular rim. A gentle depression along the front of the rim adds an intentional sense of asymmetry, reflecting the organic character and handcrafted aesthetic often associated with Japanese ceramic traditions. The flowing copper-green glaze, earthy clay body, and tactile finish make this a wonderful decorative object for Japandi, Wabi-Sabi, Mid-Century Modern, Organic Modern, or rustic interiors. Mid to late 20th century, circa 1970s-1980s.
