White, dating to circa 1900. Finished in a rich brown salt-glazed stoneware, this utilitarian vessel features the impressed R. White maker’s mark above the company’s shield emblem and the charming inscription “No Deposit Charged,” a reminder of the era’s reusable bottle system.
